Nature of the Website

This is a private reference service with no government authority. It does not hold official records and cannot confirm custody, order or carry out a release, or submit documents on a visitor's behalf.

The site points readers toward Dare County Sheriff records, NCDAC resources, court portals, and outside research tools. A link or description does not turn this site into the custodian of those records.

Acceptable Use Rules

FCRA-Prohibited Uses

Dare County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It supplies no background check, credit report, or consumer report. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. You agree not to use any site or linked-tool information for an FCRA-covered purpose, including:

• Hiring, firing, or other employment decisions
• Tenant selection, housing access, or lease decisions
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
• Licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government program
• Any other decision regulated by the FCRA

Services Outside Our Control

Links may lead to Dare County release-record instructions, the NCDAC search gateway, the North Carolina eCourts portal route, legal-aid resources, and third-party search services. We do not endorse or control their content, privacy practices, data handling, or availability. Review each destination's own terms before using it.

No Promises or Warranties

The site and all content are supplied on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranty concerning:
